Red Bull originally approached our team with a design concept and specific functional needs for their new Athlete Performance Center in Santa Monica, CA. Their plan was to translate these details from their Austrian Training Center to reflect the landscape of their new location in Coastal California.

Our goal was to not only duplicate but enhance the building’s core function: to train and support top athletes across highly technical, specialized sports. The main challenge of this project was to balance this essential need of cutting-edge wellness and recovery facilities with an additional centralized support function for the organizational side of athletics, including conference rooms and open office space.

In order to see this detailed operation through, the project was reliant on the perfect equanimity of interior architecture, design, and performance needs. By co-locating these varied functions, the objective was to see individuals interacting across departments and to provide a diverse arena for collaboration across disciplines.
