The emphasis was to create an authentic beach-themed home

After studying the vernacular of the local area, the emphasis was to create an authentic-beach themed home. The previous Mediterranean tract style home lacked character, and was in need of a design overhaul.

Located 1/2 a mile from the Ocean and Redondo Beach, the goal of the exterior remodel scope was to maximize Ocean views from the second floor living room area. With the use of Hardie siding and Thermory wood accents, the building was transformed to a Contemporary Beach House.

Maximize the indoor/outdoor entertainment area

The rear of the property features a large outdoor bar and dining area with a pool and hot tub. Balconies on each floor overlook the rear yard area and large sliding doors on the bottom floor living room area maximize the indoor/outdoor entertainment area.

Existing columns on the second floor living room area were removed to create a large open floor plan.

The interior and exterior design blend seamlessly together

The interiors feature clean, and crisp finishes and furnishings, emphasizing the beach home aesthetic. The interior and exterior design blend seamlessly together with white beadboard ceiling treatments, mimicking the exterior siding.
